sun roof problem
I bought an aftermarket sunroof for my 84 about 4 yrs. ago and about a year ago the roof panel became loose from the frame.I've been told it's not a simple silicone fix,but a two stage glue job that requires taking it off the frame and cleaning it with a solvent first.Is this a job I could do myself or should I take it to a professional.

You'll spend just as much for the glue and applicator as you would to take it to a shop. I had the same problem you're having. I was quoted $75 to repair it. For that quote I had to seperate the top from the frame and clean up the mating surfaces with a dremel tool. Once that was done, I took it to the glass shop and they glued it back together. I took them the top in the morning and had it back on the car that afternoon. :cheers:
