What jack Stands are you using
I am looking for opinions on the best jack stands on the market. I want to get the car about 2 feet off the ground. What jack stands do you guys recommend? What ton rating? Is this height reasonable on jack stands?

I'm afraid that trying to get the Vette 24 inches in the air on jackstands, is really not very safe.

A good set of jack stands will be fine to get it that height off the ground.
As long as the 2' isn't the highest the stands will go.
If they look cheap, THEY ARE!
Don't know where I got them, but I have "Mack" stands. (like the truck)
Don't do the slide pin type, just the ratchet type.
As far as safety, use your own judgment on what kind of work you are doing.

This is the best tool I have in my shop! And it is safe! Can't think of working under my cars without it!

Oh, your Vette is really pretty and the kwik-lift would look great in your garage.
