Just started happening as the weather here in MA got cold. The CD hesitates as it is drawn into the radio, then it won't play. It just makes a morse code sounding noise. If I hold in the eject button it will slowly come out. When the interior of the car is warm, it works fine. Suggestions?
I just had the same problem on my 93, it started when my wife forced a cd into the player. I bought one of those deluxe cd cleaner disc and ran it in the cd player, works like a champ now. Maybe I just got lucky but it worked for me.
Exactly the same problem with my CD on my Bose. Then, shortly after, the left from amp went bad. The amp screeches and booms, like to scare you to death. Glad I paid all that extra cash for a "Bose". Guess it's time to ship it off to the Doc for repair.

If you want to stay original, Dr. Don is the way to go. I changed out everything last year. He rebuilt the works. Not cheap, but the quality is there long after the pain of expense goes away. I am one of the few here who loves the bose system. :yesnod:
