Help for Corvette Bretheren....
Hey, I got a friend at school, with a 94 comp yellow coupe. It is low miles, around 50K and he is having tranny issues. He says that when the tranny warms up, it seems sluggish to shift, and the accellerator has to be floored to get it to downshift at all while moving. and even then, its downshifts strangley. He says when its at temp, it almost refuses to upshift, and the engine revs really high before it shifts. What could be his problem?

Sounds like it may be time for a rebuild. Usually if it doesn't seem to shift into the next gear and free revs like he has a converter, then it may have lost that band. eg. shifting from 3rd to 4th and it revs almost a 1000 rpm before it goes into 4th usually means that 3-4 band is gone.
I'd take it to a competant trans tech and have him drive it. He'll be able to tell you with a test drive (generally)

:iagree: At best, low fluid. Worst case scenario would be a rebuild. Right now it just sounds like a band; he should get it checked out quickly before he damages any of the "hard parts."

I talked to him today, he said it happened fairly suddenly, but that the fluid is fine. Did I also mention that he does alot of hard accelerating? and a bunch of smoky burnouts?

Have him check the vacuum line to the trans. It must be hooked up and be in good shape...no leaks.
I hope that's all it is....
