Default Torque converter

I have a leak in my torque converter seal, so I am having my rear main and TC seals replaced together (same labor). Also, once in a blue moon my car will lunge when putting into reverse or drive (happened twice in 11 months. Can this be a torqu converter issue? Should I also have that replaced or am I jumping the gun. I have a 94 LT1 auto with 87000 miles. Thanks, Ron

I would just do the seals and not worry about the lunging.

It may be just you putting it in gear with a high idle.

Hope this helps!

:iagree:

The computer controls the idle and any number of reasons could cause a high idle. If you're concerned enough, always look at your RPM's whe you shift into gear. RPM's should be less than 1000, if higher you could get a lurch.
