Default Fuel pump pressure
what kind of pressure should the fuel pump put out on an 86? I took the pump out and it seems to be putting out next to nothing.

40-45 at the rail at Idle. Thats what my new ACDelco puts out.

You may want to check the fuel filter it may be plugged up!

I pulled it out of the tank and benched it. I also put it back in and pulled the feed line and it was making very little presure at the tank. Is the fuel filter in the tank with the pump? I didnt see anything that looked like that. If it's making five pounds I'd be surprised. I will do the filter as soon as I can find it. Did I mention that I'm a C4 newb?

If your 86 is close to my 87, its behind the ps wheel well. make sure you releave the pressure first...
