I just finished the motor, new everything. Only 1500 miles on it and this stupid storm comes along and kills it!
has anyone here had there Vette flood? What's the chances I hydrauliced the motor? My options are few, pull the plugs, drain all her bodily fluids and refill with a good dose of Marvel Mystyer oil and hope for the best!
The water was just below the door sills. I had some on the floor boards, don't know how it got in, but it did. My guess a vent or grommet or something missing. Dash never saw water.
The MAF did though. Whe I unclipped it had water resting in it.
Have you discovered water in the motor or anywhere else? I got it in my MAF and screwed it up big time! If there's water in the motor, or if you think it touched the electrical system, call your insurance company first. Then try what you said. I think I'd unplug the computer before putting the juice to it. Watch for smoke
Okay, I know it is a pain in the rear, but pull out the plugs before you turn it over to get any water out if it is in there. Then put it back together and check to see if you have any damage. Blown head gasket, bent rods etc. Good luck. I was sick that day and stayed home and watched it on tv. Lucky me, my wife took my truck to work instead of Trans Am. Sorry for any damage you might have.
