Have94 350ci LT1 have billsteins on now but am approaching 85ooo and figure im about due was thinking about eldelbrocks claim to retain performance&manuverabilty on flat saurface but smooth out ride on rough road their not cheap and wonder if anyone has tried or heard anything about them eldelbrock been around for a long time I just wonder how good they are on shocks or if any suggestions on goodshocks thanks
Glad to see someone else with a bunch of miles on their Vette with the factory shocks. I am around 156,000+ and am getting ready to do a rebuild on my suspension. I went with KYB shocks (got them new off of eBay for a steal for the set). I asked about this before as well. A lot of members answered that they have KYB's and for the price, they were great. There were a few that went with Edelbrock. I plan on using the KYB's and then sending in my Bilsteins to them to have them rebuilt and revalved. That way I have a spare set I can throw back on later down the road. Also, I think buying the KYB's and having the Bilsteins redone cost about the same as getting the Edelbrocks. If you look at KYB's, check Summit Racing. They have great prices on them.
I have them, bought them for $70ea. do a search on threads and you can read others opinions on them. don't know how well they are on flat surfaces Ft worth doesn't realy have any  not sure how they compare to thr ride on the Bliteins the previous owner had monre shocks put on.
but i do like them.
i'll be watching closely because i'm on the fence with revalving my factory shocks or buying something else and money right now is a factor .... :auto:
i'm at 90K so its time.
Ditto, I'm on the fence right now too about which shocks to use. My car only has mid 40's for miles, and these shocks feel dead(originals). My choice has been Edelbrock or KYBs also.

Re: eldelbrock shocks (dave beaudoin)
With close to 60K miles, I took off the stock Bilsteins and put on the Edelbrocks. It was a mistake. The Edelbrocks made the car feel just plain weird. In addition, hit a series of sharp bumps and the "velocity sensitive" valving gives up ALL control, feeling like no shocks at all.
I will be taking the pretty red units off soon and putting new Bilsteins back on it. New yellows are cheaper than the reds, to boot.
The old yellow shocks with 60K miles performed better than the new red brand.
Just my experience.
Hey guys- I am going to be installing a set of Edelbrocks on my '91 (I bought them used here on the forum with 10K miles for $200). I think I got a good deal on them and will post my honest opinions in a few days. My stock bilsteins have almost 70K on them and are 13 years old...I am sure they have seen better days although I would feel fine leaving them on until 100K. Wish me luck on the easy (supposedly) install. :D
