I decided to repaint some of my engine compartment. I went to the parts store for some semi_gloss black paint, but all they had was flat or highgloss.
I needed to buy some parts from Mid America and noticed they advertised
the correct underhood paint for $9.99 a can so I added it to my order.
When my order arrived I noticed the paint can had a new label applied to it.
I removed the label and found what I had bought was Dupli-Color #DAL-1608.
Now that I had a # I called a parts store and they said they had it in stock
for $3.99 a can. And of course I didn't have to pay shippig charges either.
I don't mind someone making a profit, but you know they got their paint for a lot less than $3.99 a can.

I think most everyone here has a similar story to tell. If not with automotive purchases, then with something else. Oh, and, you don't have to be young or inexperienced to get taken. :banghead:
