just curious......

just wonderin if any lt1 guys out there have raced an ls1 trans am

my friend has a '99 ta but wont race (says he doesnt wanna get caught) :rolleyes:

if so....what was the outcome???

I raced a 2001 Z28, we were neck and neck all the way. I raced a 2001 LS1 Firebird, beat it by 2 tenths.

Raced a WS6 Trans Am, beat it but it was close. I wish I could dig out the timeslips. I do have a video of me beating the LS1 Firebird.

This was all with my '95 six speed, completely stock.

Easier said than done, it's on a CD somewhere, although I do have the VHS copy somewhere, I just may have to reconvert the video so I can share some more with you all.

I took on a WS6 T/A about a year ago (0-55mph) beat her by about a car length. She gave me a great big smile and a thumbs-up when we stopped at the next light. :thumbs:

BTW: I have an almost bone stock '88 L98.

I got lined up against a WS6. He redlighted so I took it easy knowing I had the win. He turned a 13.8 against my 13.44.

Later he had the nerve to yapp about my launch technique. I was just trying out a new motor setup and trying to launch her without wheelspin, so I wasn't sure what I could do on any run. Who teaches these kids to be such jerks anyway?
