You can try Yellow Freight,Roadway, or any other of the LTL Carriers. Also give the UPS store a call(formerly Mailboxes Etc), the one I go to uses a trucking company for large heavy items. Most companies will only pick up and deliver to a commercial address.

If you can get it crated up and take it to one of the LTL depots such as the ones Mojo named, you will save a bunch of $$$.

The particulars as to where/why you are shipping may make a difference also. For instance, if you are shipping it to get work done on it or something, you may want to question the facility that's doing the work about whether they use a carrier or freight brokerage service on a regular basis. If they do, they may be able to use their contacts to help you out. On the other hand, if you have sold the engine to an individual and are wanting to find the best way to ship it, you will save a lot of $$$ if you take it to a LTL depot yourself and have the recipient pick it up at a depot on his/her end. Prices go up drastically if the carrier has to deliver to a residential address with a liftgate truck (liftgate required if item is heavy, i.e. they will not wait while someones attempts to hook-up a "cherry picker" :).
