Default wheel ?

2-? I have an 87 with factory wheels, all my vents or going to the rear of the car but tires are mounted for corect direction. Are the vents on wheels going the correct way as gm did it. Reason for asking is my aunt brought over her 86 and her vents were going to the front of the car,Now for the 2nd? Did 86 have the clearcote.she did not have clearcote and turning white, after about 2 hrs on each wheel with mothers they look aluminum again.

This is how they should look. If they are backwards, they can cause an overheating problem with the brakes, they are designed to draw air in.

I can't answer your question since I have an 88. But, I think you will find that questions you feel are 'dumb' will get answered on here. Just remember, we were ALL first-time owners at one time. I have had my car for 4 years and still ask questions and get GOOD answers.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy the car. :seeya

This is different in the saw blades which would draw air out.

Holy Crap! I didn't know that. I looked at my car and it looks like 2 are going in the right direction and 2 are not. Shows you just how observant I am. How much of a problem is this? Man I feel dumb!
