My 85 isn't mint, but I consider it very good condition. The seats aren't ripped, but have a few cracks....theres a small ding on the left front bumper, the windshield has a small crack on the bottom of the passenger side...the paint is really good and with some Zymol it shines like its new. Has anyone bought one like this, and just drove it and brought it back to mint slowly...just curious...
my 85 us the same way...it is in excellent condition....i have 2 lists...the "wants list" and the "needs list". the need list is short and getting shorter...but the wants list grows every day :smash:

Re: What was the condition... (85RIT)
I bought mine two years ago, sight unseen. I sent a $1000 non-refundable deposit and flew 1000 miles to get it. Only two minor items were misrepresented. My son and I drove it home in a day and a half. She was neglected, but not abused. I have done dozens of projects and, although they are slowing down, I will not ever quit improving on my coupe! :yesnod:
All of the above
84 POS 178K but its starting to come around
90 ZR-1 Great 25K miles
91 ZR-1 Mint 10K miles
94 Yellow theft recovery 135K miles now in great shape new paint Int. motor shocks and all the rest.
95 Polo fair 110K miles still working on.
I bought my 90 in rough shape. I barely could get it to 90 mph. the interior was worn and the engine was neglected. Since then I have brought it back to mint condition. If I could find the original owner I definitley would like to b*#ch slap him unconscious! :cuss :cuss :cuss :mad :mad :mad

Vettefast I love your car , The hard work (and money) shows.
How do you spell disaster. I bought my 85 to keep a buddy from going to jail. It had been painted purple. Mary Carter house paint purple. The interior had been painted with red Krylon spray paint. Everything painted the same red, doors floors and trim. Windshield was cracker as was the top. Leather seats had been trashed, replaced with I don't know what. Engine had 165k on it, smoked and missed. Didn't matter much because the tranny slipped so bad it took a city block to get to 30 miles an hour. Breaking was somewhat hampered by the mud,yes mud, found in each caliper. No way would I have touched this wreck except out of kindness. Paid 5 large for what has turned out to be a set of plans for a Corvette. Four years and untold hours of labor, busted knuckles and more money than I want to think about it has become a machine I am truely proud of. My baby,My creation.
