Interior Paint Question?
I'm in the process of replacing my carpet and I noticed that many on the interior trim pieces are faded and need to be repainted. My first question is what do I use to remove any surface contaminants that would prevent proper paint adhesion? Secondly, what is the repainting procedure? Is it best to use a primer and then paint? Also, who carries the best paint? Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

I've found that using (1st) general degreaser, (2) wash with dawn dish soap, (3) rince well, (4) then go over with one of those green pads (can't think of the name right now, (5) wipe down with clean cloth, then paint,... I just got some vinyl semi gloss pain... then covered with same clear coat... does a nice job... just take your time and do light layers and allow to dry good... I waited 24hrs before putting on the semi clear coat...
