I need to get this bose system out of my vette and quick! I actually thought that the sytem would be kind of nice. Was i wrong or what? Hard to believe that such an expensive brand of audio uses paper woofers. well anyways my cd does not work and tape squeeks. I bought a jvc kamealeon and need to know who sells
1. The bracket to be able to fit a normal din sized radio without having empty space.
2. Wire harness so i dont have to cut into the stock wire harness of the radio.
3. wire harness for the speakers.
4. subwoofer box that i can use in the hatch area and still be able to put my roof panel back there.
5. the speaker sizes for the rear and front of the car.
Please help me out guys i cant live without tunes...

Metra sells everything you need:
http://www.metraonline.com/locator.a...del=288&type=1
They don't have the install kit listed and when you search it doesn't come up...so you need to call them. It is a 3 cd pocket that fits below your aftermarket deck. It looks absolutely factory and does away with the plastic filler panels alot of people use.
You can fit 6.5" speakers in the rear and 4.5" or 5" rounds up front. I have seen sub's mounted in the access hatches behind the seats that look great(but you obviously lose some storage room....but not as much as a big box in your hatch)....there is also a sub box made to fit along the back wall of the hatch area but I have no idea who makes it.
edit: Typos :banghead:

I would definitly get the Metra mounting kit........it makes the job a lot easier.
As far as speakers, I used 6x9s in the rear and 5.25s in the front. I modified the front Bose enclosures to fit the 5.25s, but in the rear I had to scrap the Blose enclosures and make a mount out of MDF.
The whole install wasn't a difficult job, just a bit tedious. You just gotta take your time.
As far as the wiring harness I'm not sure if there is an aftermarket harness that allows you to use the wires behind the radio. The standard GM wiring harness you normally see for sale does not fit the Bose plug behind the radio. After a little scratching my head I realized that if you follow the Bose harness it goes to a remore receiver under the pass. side dash. The receiver has a couple of plugs in it that if you unplug will fit in the standard GM harness. Than you just gotta extend the harness wires long enough to reach the radio and your set. I think I just confused myself trying to explain that
Anyway good luck and if you hit a snag there's plenty of guys here to help you out.
