anyone using continental tires for winter?
i was looking on tire rack and the continental ContiExtremeContact's are the highest rated all season tire. i've never heard of them. the price is right too. $128 each :cheers: they are rated superior or excellent in all categories, including snow and rain traction :eek: sounds like it is a very good ultra high performance all-season radial :smash:

i think i'm going to buy a set to put on my new rims. if i do, i'll let u all know how they are. they're supposed to be excellent in rain and snow. we'll see

I have BFG Comp T/As on my vette and they are pretty good in the snow, made it through all of last winter with them, now they are a little balder but still not too bad

You want the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S if you do winter/summer driving and dont change tires....
Why? It has 3 different compounds across the tread. Outside edges for extreme dry grip, inner ribs mix HP/all season, and center rib A/S cmpd.
The problem with UHP tires is the tread compounds get stiff in the winter (less traction), and there are less biting edges in the tread pattern.
Michelin seems to have gotten around this in their Pilot Sport A/S
