"CORVETTE fifty years" by Leffingwell
Got the book yesterday at costco for $29. It sold for $50 5 months ago. Anyway, I am so so so disappointed with the GS section. This is the second vette book that I have that does not show the car how it was produced.
Chrome rims, blue inserts, aftermarket exhaust and a roll cage all look fine on the car but at least include in the book the way the car came from the factory. I bet Leffingwell would have had 500 GS owners cramming to get their original GS vert or coupe in the book.

Got this book at the 50th and had it autographed by him. When I sugested his photos of the GS would have been better with the black factory A molds, he said that the chrome ones were a factory option   Too bad I had already purchased the book or I would have walked out. As it is I have never opened the book since then even though its about 6 feet away from my computer. A $50.00 lesson :mad

It's interesting that there was no definitive 50th Anniversary book - many nice tries, but nothing that completely outclasses the rest.

J3 Studio: True, good point.
Beautiful Beast: Also true.
Grand Sport #357: Figures. Suprisingly the book says it is the "Official Anniversary Book" sanctioned by GM.
Thank you Laughingwell.
