Default Painting engine soon...

Sometime next week or after Christmas, I want to paint my plenum and runners black, and re-paint my valve covers back to silver. Yay or Nay?

Consider having them powdercoated. They will look great and the color will never fade. They will be very scratch-resistant. You can have this done in just about any color imaginable. :yesnod:

I painted my valve covers "Wrinkle Paint Black" to match the black plenum and runners. I think it looks better than black on the plenum and runners and silver or chrome on the valve covers. Of course if you left your plenim and runners natural the silver on the valve covers would look better.

Just my opinion.

Mike.

Exactly right!!! I went to a cruise in one day and had my baby sparkling clean. Some guy walked up and said, "The outside looks good but the real test is what does it look like under the hood?" I popped the hood and his jaw about hit the ground. His comment... "D@mn, you could eat off of that thing!!"

And that's the way I like it to look. :yesnod:

Go for the all black look! I'm doing the same thing this winter to mine. Also eliminating the air pump to clean up the engine bay some.

I wonder how this engine pic would look if the runners were red as well? :yesnod:
