Re: Where have you ordered your rubber......... (IMXCITD)
As far as who to get them from I can't help you, when I had my 93' It needed the front w/s header-top weatherstrip replaced. IMHO its best to have this installed by an insured professional beacuse it is extremely easy to crack the w/s-I had mine done ar Carmax where I bought the car and sure enough the installer cracked the w/s and they had to put in a new one-that $600 was on them but if I had done it it would have been on me I do not believe the rear is too difficult to do

Re: Where have you ordered your rubber......... (Dandy97)
Do a search and you will find lots of posts about this, I think the consensus of opinion is that GM is the way to go. I have ECKLERS been on for 6 months I still can't get the drivers window to go up with the door closed
Re: Where have you ordered your rubber......... (Dandy97)
Rear hatch seal is easy. Take one strut loose, put the rubber in place then the other. I used a plastic hammer to tap the gasket home. Think I got mine from Mid America. You can get them cheaper , but I didnt want to gamble on quality. :auto:
Re: Where have you ordered your rubber......... (IMXCITD)
Replaced all mine, and with window seals (GM), i still had to adjust the window... for a good seal... Now its part of the install and service for the door...
Re: Where have you ordered your rubber......... (IMXCITD)
I used GM stuff as recommended by others. Try Superior Chevrolet as they are friends with the forum, and give a discount. Remember to mention that you are on the Corvette Forum.
Oh, you meant that kind of rubber...I hear corvette rubber is very good (but I can't speak from experience). I'm also going to be looking for new rubber soon, everything on my 89 is mint except for the damn rubber.
Good luck and let us know the verdict once you make the purchase and install.
