Default Power Seat Help

Anyone know how to manually move a power seat forward / back? Everything on my seat works except the forward and back movement and I would be more comfortable with it forward about another inch.

thanks

If sitting in it, running the motor and pulling forward doesn't work simply swap it with the passenger seat, assuming both are power.

I recently swapped mine and you have to remount the seat on the drive rack. Easy to do. remove both seat bottoms (held in by a spring clip under the front edge) and notice the bolt hole patterns. Only takes a few minutes and will let you clean under the seat while you're at it!! I found over a dollar in change and the 6 speed insert to the shifter!! Also a good time to shampoo the carpet while all that hardware is out!!

Passenger seat is manual; thanks, but that won't help. I've had both seats out and have examined all the power hardware under the driver's seat, but can't figure out how to manually move it forward.

I had a motor failure in a 76 Buick Pace Car seat and disconnected the motor connection to the gears and was able to adjust the seat by manually turning the gears. It was a long time ago but I think I was able to turn the mechanism with my fingers with the seat still in place though a bit awkward. Once you get the seat apart as per Bob Taylor1 it should be apparent if you can do similar if you're not inclined to replace the malfunctioning unit.

Since a swap is out of the question to real solution is to replace the track; Contemporary Corvette (link on my site, see sig. below) has them.
