Anyone know of a supplier of Fixed Headlights on a C-4? I saw a picture of one with the headlights fixed and recessed to the hood conture that had clear covers. It also had the European sytle bulbs. The picture really looked great and I wouldn't have to rebuild my headlight motors any more.
Hey Ed: nice to hear from you... glad the paint is the same...  Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas,,, and best of luck in the new year, keep in touch... vinnie
Just my personal oppinion, but I've always felt the pop-up headlight to be a very "C4 Corvette" styling feature. I am not saying fixed lites look bad, I just couldn't remove something that is part of the uniqueness of the car. JMO
C6 will feature fixed lites, someone will probably market a pop-up for it :U
Sharky- weren't you designing us a set of non-popup lights like a year ago???[/QUOTE]
Yes, me and two other guys went out and designed a set of replacement lights(non pop up) that would function properly and look greatat the same time. We utilized the HID style lights from a Lexus. The clear covers were made of lexan. And the housings were made of high impact plastic. The problem is that when we took it to manufacturers for production pricing and negotiations, we found out that we would have to make 10,000 units each production run to make it affordable to the end user after distributor and dealer markups were tacked on to the costs. The intitial investment also would not have a return realized in a fair amount of time. And after a few market surveys were conducted, we would not have been able to sell the kits within the targeted range of affordability that we projected. So the project was scrapped.
