Re: Neon lights (Metz8790)
I think I know.
They won't look good if your Corvette is yellow.
Or blue.
Or red.
Or white.
Or black.
Or green.
Or turquoise.
Or charcoal.
If your Corvette is any other color, it might look okay.

Re: Neon lights (Metz8790)
As bad as it may sound...I have been thinking about placing neon lights under my Vette and have them on only when the interior lights are activated.
I don't want them for crusing around town. But would like them to be on when I set the alarm or have the doors opened.

IMHO it's called customizing. I'm all for it so long as the tubes do not show. I customize my cars just so I don't have the same car (vette or otherwise) that everybody else has.
As I have mentioned before, like the others above, do what you want, not what everyone else tells you to. Everyone has their own opinion about different issues, that's what makes us all unique.
I've gotten a lot of compliments on the Greenwood kit. I've also gotten a lot of negative criticism about it as well. Doesn't bother me one bit because every night when I go to sleep I am happy with everything I've done for my Vette.
If neon is what you want, then just do it!
My 87 used to have purple pinstripes along the sides and hood, so purple neon looked great under the white body,,,but that was 1994 or so,,,kinda dated now adays. Anyway, they only lasted two years cause some shop busted them on the lift and I never got them repaired. Whatever you do, make sure they are up inside the frame so the light tubes themselves can not be seen,,,,you only want the light to show.
Word to the wise, the wires may interfere with you ABS as they did on mine. It would cause a failure, so I would be driving with regular brakes when the neons were on.
