Its a personal preference thing if you ask me, I am replacing all my speakers and putting a 10" Planet Audio bandpass in the back (byebye cargo room) because when I ride i like to have my music, I have seen someone put an 8" under the pass. side storage box but i like a little more bump than that

:iagree: I also put a powered 8" Bazooka tube in mine! It doesn't take up too much space and you get a lot of base. Bazooka makes a powered tube now that looks just like a NOS tank. If you didn't know better it looks exactly like a bottle of nitrous!
I swapped out the 6.5 and replaced them with JL audio's 6.5 subs. I "tweaked" the port a bit, and now get em down to 35Hz. With those no space compromise and best bass for the space..... ;)

I did the same but I also recommend covering all areas around the speaker under the carpet with a sound deadning material like dynomat. It made a much deaper and clearer base.

Re: Subwoofers (-=Persephone=-)
Well I must have went overboard, I gave up my cargo area and installed 2 - 12" speakers. I like to feel my music when I drive on those long trips.
:seeya
i put 2 12" solobaric subs in my storage compartments. also lined both compartments with 3/4" dense fiber board and stuffed them w/ poly fill.
if i crank it up now, it opens my gas filler door.
b.t.w. if you use traditional ""round"subs, you can only go to 10".
