Re: 1989 Corvette (84zz4vette)
 89 has the "old dash", which actually looks like it belongs in a sports car(if you remove the breadbox IMHO), as opposed to the "new dash" which belongs in a 4 door Celica (IMHO) :D
I wasn't too happy about that at first because I'm an old time analog guy. But now I love them. They are very distinct, look great and I feel make the car stand out a bit. The 89 does have the last and latest, read that as the best all digital display of the group. Don't worry, even though the bar graph peaks at 85mph the digital display is three digits :D
The later styles using a combination of analog and digital are whats weird

 Please don't holdl me to this, but I have been told that once you exceed 85 MPH the speedo graph and the numbers will move up to (god and Govt forgive) your actual soeed.
I, of course, have never done this! I always obey the speed limits.... :D
Not dash related but the '89s are MAF cars, the '90s use MAP. I like the digital dash better myself, plus your passenger doesn't have that "wall" boxing them in.

Yep :iagree: AND... MAF cars have better throttle response & more forgiving (to a point) on mods :yesnod:
