Re: Underhood Cold Air Induction Packag! (bigbozman)
I have one on my '96. I hope you are buying it for looks, as there is no noticeable performance difference from a stock set-up with a K&N filter. However, it does sound cool at WOT!.

Interesting set-up....looks similar to the C5 Blackwing....mid-america has a ram-air set-up for the C4 that enters through the front license plate location that is truly the only direct fresh air intake system i've seen. I've got the K&N open lid Filter assembly which i might change...but the ram air set-up is 450.00 big ones...pretty pricey... :yesnod:

Re: Underhood Cold Air Induction Packag! (bigbozman)
Since we're talkin about air filters here......I'd just like to say that I came up with a strange idea. I get noticeably better performance in the cold mornings than I do on hot afternoons with my K and N open lid setup. What I recently did though is I slipped one of those ice packs that u use for neck aches or backaches into the bottom housing inside the air filter shroud. I take it out and put it in the freezer every night and insert it in the morning when I go driving. When the cold air blows into the filter, it hits the ice pack before it goes through the intake. Now driving in the afternoon seems alot more similarly to driving on cold mornings. It's just wierd that I actually got a noticeable difference out of it. Small but noticeable. And what's even wierder is that the ice pack like fits perfectly in the bottom of the shroud, like it was meant to go there. :skep: Anyhow, just thought I'd point this out.

I've been wanting one of those. I just like the look. Let me know where you get it and how much. Thanks, Guy
P.s. The ice pack idea sounds like it would work well at the track. Good idea!!
