so i took my 96 in today... turns out i have worn tie rods... the minimum toe spec is -1/16" my left rear is -21/32"... so my tires that were brand new in august when i bought the car are showing the belts! to add to that... 3 out of 4 of the shocks are leaking... and weak.. so my questions are.. new tires! i want some new rear tires 315's the guy told me alot of corvette guys are goin with firestone, any suggestions and whats a good set of shocks?
Selecting shocks comes down to two things, price, and uses.If you want performance one of the popular ones are the Edelbrock IAS Performer,or the stock Bilstein. If you want something a little more conservative in terms of performance and price you can try the KYB shocks.Hope this info helps.
i dont know off hand but tirerack's site can tell you, just go to price them, and it should come up with a list of tire sizes and prices for them. or im sure the manufacturer site might have that info. but that may be harder then surfing tirerack.

Re: ALIGNMENT (CaliforniaVette)
If you want the best...go with some Michelin's....Pilots in particular. My uncle has em on his 92 and they're the next brand I'm gonna put on mine. Not the cheapest, but definitely the best from what I hear.
