I have a 90 and when mine went up I replaced everything. Really that is the only way to go! I put a Alpine head unit in, Infinity in all four corners with the cross over box and a Alpine V12 Amp behind the passinger seat, with a 8" powered bazooka tube in the back. You choices are endless. Really all you need is a powerfull quality head unit and 4 quality speakers and you are set.
A little advise though, be carefull with the stereo's that say they fit Chevy and Chrysler! They all don't fit perfect. Make sure the saleman states it will fit your year corvette without modifications!
I agree with vettefast. Nice system BTW. You need to just do it all. The stereos he talks about fitting GM cars is a din and a half size. The 90 uses a double din. The selection isnt huge but they do fit and look decent. Mine did. Look for one of them most have both cassette and cd. But getting a dark grey one with orange lights is not possible as far as i know. I looked hard.
That's exactly where I got my alpine head unit and Speakers, Crutchfield!
The magizine will advise you to which has the orange LED and which is adaptable to your vette! They have great customer service! They are also online. But I would go through the magizine myself.

Re: 90 radios (mphy98)
I immediately ripped out the crap 13 year old Bose and put in a Pioneer DEH-P7400 CD/MP3 player setup with a 400 Watt amp/speaker setup in the rear. I'm gonna put an 800 watter in there as soon as I get enuff cash 4 it, but for now this system's been kick azz every since I put it in. Definitely worth the effort. Looks way cooler and the performance is worthy of a corvette in the 21st century and then some. You'll be doing yourself a favor.
Your 23 and Mphy98 is 49 I don't think he is tring to build his stereo to your same specifications! From what I read from your comment you want to blow
your windows out! From what I read from Mphy98 he wants a quality stereo system! You don't need to have 800 watts to have quality! but once again it is just my opinion!!!
