Where is the fuel filter on an 86?

If you plan on replacing it, read how first or expect a giant fuel spill, maybe even a nice toasty fire... The filter is under pressure.

I agree should be under passenger side door..towards the engine. You will need to pull the fuel pump fuse, run it until it stops, and then relieve the pressure at the fuel rail. Be warned though...you may never be able to get the flow of gas to stop at the filter.....I ended up filling 5 2 liters full of fuel before I gave up. I ended up driving it until it almost ran out of fuel and then changed it......good luck
