Problem getting auto into gear
I have been having trouble getting my 91 coupe into gear. When I start it up and try to move shifter it sticks. I sometimes need both hands to move it into reverse. Once I get from Park to Reverse it then move O.K. Know problem going to Neutral or Drive or back. Only trouble is getting out of Park.

I have a similar problem with mine once in awhile but in my case it's getting the button to go down far enough to release it. Usually pushing the brake pedal a couple of times and working the free play in the wheel lock takes care of it. I've assumed it's a little wear or adjustment in the interlock system. It's only occasionally and strangely generally only occurs when the car is overnight cold. If your cable checks out though it might be something else to look at for you. I don't mind the steering wheel lock but if I ever have to go in there, the crap that requires pushing on the brake to get it out of park is history! :cuss
