when I bought my vett it had wet suit material seat covers on them. When I took the covers off to check the leather there was a n adhesive on them and I can't get it to come off. Anyone else have this problem and how do I get the glue off without damageing my leather?
Probably a pair of Wet Okole's... I'm using them, to protect my original seats... But to glue them down, is really a bad idea, unless of course you NEVER plan on removing them!!! As far as getting the glue off without damaging the leather, good luck. I think any chemical you'd use, would remove the dyes from the leather along with the glue. If you dont want the covers on, have the seats re-upholstered.
Try cheap hair spray. Yes, I know it sounds insane. Try it on a small spot. Let it soak for a second, see if that doesn't take it off. The hair spray will wipe right up, and any of the rest of it can be wiped up with a damp rag or sponge.

I've heard of that,,, wondered it it really works ....
You might also try WD-40. The maintenance guys at our office use it and swearby it for all types of cleaning. I've seen them use it to remove dirt ands glue spots that held party decorations to walls (flat and satin finish paint), wood work, cabinets, furniture, etc. Once removed, you'll never know the glue was there. The label on the can even suggests this as a use for the product.
I tried the hair spray and it didn't do anything. I found some cleaner called oops and it took it off pretty well, now if my leather doesn't fall apart I'll be ok. :hurray:
