Re: Dana 44 value (Jeffvette)
I would say a little more than that.
I just bought one for $1000 with 3.33s complete. However, I tried about 10 places and the average price was around $2000 for a complete set with 3.45s. One place even quoted me $4000!

I just bought a 3.07 D44 and batwing from Contemporary Corvette for $850 (for my tube frame C3 project), and they also had the 3.45s available for $1400 with the driveshaft and C channel.

Well I guess it depends I would sell it for 2,000 for the rear and the batwing
Seen em sell like that many times.

I have a line on one but I dont need the rear or batwing I need the rest of it :D
If I get it would you be interested in the rear with batwing?

Re: Dana 44 value (Alcee1)
spin the out put shaft three complete rotations and count how many times your input (driveshaft) spins lets say 12.3 turns
so 12.3/3 = 4.10's
thats the way I was told and it gives you a pretty close idea other way would be to remove the batwing and count the theeth on the gears.
