I had to replace the battery last weekend because i had some dead cells in the old one. Put the new battery in and made sure all connections were good and tight. When I tried to start all lights on dash came on as normal and when iI turned the key I got a loud click and nothing.I was later talking to a friend who came over and he said flip the headlights on and i did, Turned the key and it started right up. Do you all think when I was wrestling around trying to get the new one in I could have pulled something loose.
:iagree:
Failing starter. Make sure you get it taken care of. I let mine go for a couple of months and the solenoid stuck closed and the engine burned out the starter because it wouldn't disengage. Now I need a new starter, new Battery, possibly a new alternator, and anything else electrical that I may have burned up :hurray: The car now sits completely dead in the garage until spring when I can fix all the stuff.
Yes
I can flip headlights on and hit the key and it will start. Then turnlights offf and it may start 6 or 7 more time and then click again. I told you it was weird

If you bought your battery at a parts store, take it there to have the system tested. A competent parts man with a digital tester can tell you everything you need to know about your charging system. And they will do if for free........If you bought it at WalMart, take it to a parts store anyway..... :yesnod:
