Horrible Corvette accident in Richmond, VA
They were drunk and racing each other. One car was from Williamsburg and one from Richmond. They both look to be C5's but my father who saw the new thought the black Vette was a C4, the pictures were just not that good. This is another example that it does not pay to play on the streets. I feel very sorry for there families and I am glad that no innocent bystanders were injured. Both driver and passenger of the black Corvette died at the sceen and the driver of the red Vette has two counts of man slaughter and a DUI to face up to.

2 points most people don't get:
1] Owning a fast sports car does not mean you are a qualified race car driver.
2] The streets are not the place to race cars

Horrible, just horrible!
:blueangel:
Does anyone notice that when a Corvette or a SUV is in an accident they have to spell out it's that kind of vehicle, but when it's a another car of some type they don't emphasis that vehicle! :skep:

I feel worse for the two dead Corvettes than I do for the two dead drunks, if in fact they were drunk. :(

Well I feel sorry for them, and the guy that lived who saw his friends die. Everyone makes mistakes like this one and most of us have done this. They did not say what the alchol level was, it could have been one beer for all we know. However I am more sad for them, then I am the Corvettes, after all they are replaceable and rebuildable.

:iagree: I certainly hope if anything like this were to happen to any one of us, some of you would be less condesending. Everyone makes a mistake. Not saying it's right. We have lost a few members and it never had this tone before. What if these guys belonged to your local club. Would things be different if this thread started out "Two forum members die, etc. etc. Probably. :blueangel: Condolences are in order. Just my .02
