Default Does It Still Feel........

I went to the Chicago Auto Show yesterday with the family. While I was standing there looking at the new C6 and looking out past it to the huge windows overing looking our lake here, I started thinking. The spokes person was talking about all the great new features I noticed the top was off and here winter just keeps going on and man it's been below freezing since the early part of January and it's snowing out there today!
I haven't driven the car since late November ( but I take my daughters remote C5 Barbie Corvette out for drives, hey you got to do what you have to! ) anyways I really don't drive it much with the tops on (I have dual tops) I just leave them off from April ?? till November ??? maybe put the heat on or air when needed. I know a lot of you use it as a daily or take it to the track, I always felt driving it with out the top or for the convertibles with the top dropped just is the way to go it makes this car purely exciting. I know the C5 has the Z06's hard top and has the 405hp and really like that version but to me the the driving thing is the top not there and the way that C4 looks man it just calls for you to get in and ride and ride. :auto:

Is this me or do others feel and do the same thing?

I usually keep the to on unless it is a totally gorgeous day. I like the stiffer ride with the top on my coupe. I'll bet I do more top off cruising soon once I get my cross-frame installed sometime in the next week or two.

I agree... I love having the top off.. but I like having it on because it feels so much stiffer.. I can't wait till summer hits IL... I'll probably be taking it out for a gathering on the 29th... as long at the streets are some what clean...

I know the feeling well. I usually go through tech at the strip with the top off and put it on when in the lanes.

I've had the Vette out several times this winter and the top off one day when temps were in the hi 40s....common spring. Now that those "droopy" sun visors are repaired I'm no longer ashamed to have the top off.

I can attest, Jim 65Z01 always cruises to e-town(on the warm days) sans targa. It's clockwork...He pokes through tech, and is putting the top on just before His first run :)
