....made the first approach by phone to the owner of a nice looking green/tan 94 with 93k miles. he tells me that he is the second owner, that gear kits have been installed in the headlights, a new water pump done and new exhaust stacks have been installed. he says he he has driven it plenty in the two summers that he has had it, but it stays in a garage during winter time. he said it does not use oil, and is a strong running car. think i will go take a look at it.......get a carfax on the vin#, and go from there. is there anything else that i should be looking for or inquiring about that i might not be unaware of besides leaks, and general condition?
Ask if the optispark was replaced, it would be way overdue by now. Most Vette people think that the optispark is a peice of junk cause they go bad, but they don't consider that it's basically a distributor cap and rotor that needs to be replaced as part of maintenance, and when was the last time a cap and rotor lasted as long as the car? It's just a really expensive hard to get to distributor cap. GM reccomends replacement every 60,000. I've heard of people paying upto 1,200 to have it done, but I do it myself for 200.00. :flag
