i like that feature too one thing is your have the advantage at the pumps
another is the classic c2's and all were like this too i think the c5 and c6 shoulda had this VETTE feature

Not impressed by the European exterior style of the C5(Billboard size bumper,sideview mirrors & the exhaust tips being to close together).
Very satisfied with the American sport styling of the C4. A very unique style. No wonder GM kept the C4 around for so long.

I've always liked the styling of the C4 over the C5, especially the C4 undershot rear versus the 'Big Butt' rear of the C5. It's nice to see a touch of the C4 rear in the C6. :hurray:

I like my C4 better than any C5 I have driven. If I ever have a C5 or C6 in my garage my GS will be sitting right next to it............... :D

anjdog2003 - Wow . . . took the words right out of my mouth. I'll buy 2 more C4's before I buy a C5, just don't like the booty. It's just a bland car.
They do look MUCH better lowered though. But what doesn't IMO? :D

Talking to an old buddy yesterday he traded in his 92 for a 98
He really likes his C5. My question why do you guys think that the C4 is better than the C5? I like the C4, what are pros of the C4 over a C5?

1. Stiffer/better frame
2. Better base engine
3. Heads Up Display
4. Better crusing ride/comfort
5. It's new (for now)
Where the C5 ranks below the C4:
1. Ugly, fat C5 butt
2. Overly rounded C5 "edges"
3. C5 Nose looks like an old Trans Am circa 1989
4. C5 Fuel Pressure Regulator is in the gas tank, so no easy way to bump up your hot rodding by adjusting the fuel pressure
5. Serious recall issues with items such as the steering column lock failing
Where the C4 is superior to the C5:
1. Large, clamshell hood
2. Center-mount fuel tank filler
3. Lower ride height
4. Better looks
5. Better drag racer
6. ZR-1 top of the line engine
7. L-98 in 1988 coupes hold the autocross records

Why is it better...
When I was 16 years old and I saw a C4 drive by...between my drooling I vowed to own one...now I do and the love affair has never left.
Never dreamt about owing a C5...still don't...

u cant compare the lt5 with the ls1 u at least have to compare it ot the ls6

Obviously it's all subjective and I don't wish to slam any Vette, but I think the later C4s are the most aesthetically pleasing Corvettes since the C2s. The styling is aggressive and subtle at the same time. I'm not a big fan of C3s or C5s from a styling standpoint though they are not unattractive, just not my taste. And I just don't see me ever getting excited about the C6 either. It has it's points but it's not for me. But I do respect everyones' choice and enjoy all Vettes, they all have their strengths.

Well, I'd prefer to have a cherry '58 or a '63 split window, but I don't have 50 or 60 grand laying around to buy one. So I'll keep my paid for '85 and take care of it and drive it.

that is something about the style c4 has, every sport *** car copy something from it, look at 3000gt sitting next to c4, i like driving c4 sitting very low large hood, and its glued to the road, i like the c5 but i dont think it has the same "thunder" as the c4, and that is maybe why they are stop makin them so early? c3 68-82 c4 84-96 an c5 97-05?.

You have a Lincoln LS V-8? Thats what I want to replace a E-320 that is broken all the time. Is that Lincoln any good? Problems?

C-4's are lacking in the looks dept, unless you like the door stop look.
Not much going on with the styling of the C-4. Not many lines.
LT-1's are better looking than L-98's but L98's are more fun.
Best looking Corvettes ever came out in the 60's. 63 and later that is.
Pre 63 cars are pretty ugly and they drove like really short trucks.
