Default Hooking Up!

Does anyone have any good tricks or tips on how to get a C4 to hook up at the drag strip? I'm not trying to build a strip car per se, but I don't want to just sit and spin the tires either.

My car has the Bilstein coil overs and a full heim joint suspension which has adjustments for everything.... I also have larger sway bars with the SOLID bushings (front and rear). For example, the front A-arms also have the solid pressed in aluminum bushings... All of the other bushings in the suspension are from energy suspension. My rear is a 3:73 posi unit from Exotic Muscle... I will be running 315 drag radials..I've never tuned a suspension and don't know the first thing about it.. Am I on the wrong track? Is this thing going to be too HARD of a setup for any kind of a respectible launch?

Zelement, BTF, Bruce, TJWong, Jeb, anyone?

Thanks,

Tony

Drop the pressure in the rears to about 22-24 lbs. Then a nice burn out untill you see white tire smoke. If auto, I'd put it in "D" then hold the brake while getting the revs up to about 1500 RPM. On the last yellow, release the brake and mash the gas pedal. If you get tire spin you may have to lower your tire pressure (I'll go as low as about 16-17 lbs) and vary your launch RPM. I can't help you out too much if you have a manual trans, but I'm sure others will chime in. Best advice......Have fun

6 speed or auto. I got a 6 speed and i just floor it and let the clutch out quick but dont dump it all in one motion and i get a silky smooth launch.

I think my only problem may be the amount of HP I'm trying to put down..Gonna be hard to put 1000+hp. to the ground without tubs...I was hoping that someone could provide some info. on rear toe settings, camber, etc.. For example, my control arms are adjustable... how do I properly adjust them? All of this is a mystery to me...
