It came via FedEx yesterday from Mid America ($799  ), and I was able to find a shop that could install it today! I really have only driven it home, but I love it so far. It sounded great in the bay when the car fired up, and when I blip the throttle it definitely is "there." The one thing I *was* surprised about is how quiet it is at cruise speeds. When I read the adds, posts, etc. and saw "whisper quiet," I thought, "okay...quiter than at WOT, but whisper? No."
Yeah....I WAS WRONG! It is literally silent at 45-55mph while cruising! I cannot believe it. Way to go Corsa!!!
Man I'm so envious. I been anxious to hear Corsa on an LT1 at one of the show's but haven't yet. That's great that they are so quiet at cruise yet let you know what's there when you throttle it. Unfortunately, I have to prioritize and a new bronze top gets priority before the Corsa's. Considering they will be about the same price.
Thanks all! I definitely love these things... :yesnod: :yesnod:
Jay - I'm not going to the pavillions because there is a cruise to Gila Bend on Sat. that I'm doing. We're meeting at Firebird at 10:00, so c'mon if ya' wanna! Sorry about missing you out there for the Chevy Show a couple weeks back. I didn't end up showing up until later that evening (5-6pm), and your car wasn't around...figured you'd already left.
Edit: Sorry, forgot - Installation was $100, or 1.5hr labor... I watched the guys do it, and I wouldn't have wanted to be doing it on my back in my apt. complex parking lot under ramps, but with a lift and the proper tools, it looked pretty easy. All the fitment was really nice.
(3JetJocky - you will love the bronze top with the polo green. I just got one for my 95 polo green coupe and love it. The Corsa's are next on the long list of Vette mods, depends on my budget this year.
Had my Corsas put on by my Chevy dealer, they are great to work with, and they charged me $100. They did an excellant job making sure the were lined up perfectly, etc. Money well spent for me considering how cold this winter has been. Love the Corsas, they are the best mod I have done. Can't wait to get to here them on the roaad again!:steering:
