Just checked mine today, rubber hoses look ok, but there are 2 metal edges very near the hoses, guess given enuf time they might wear through the hose.
dang, those look really hard to get at :banghead: Im gonna try to check it out today. Im interested in retrofit braided hoses too preferrably with some kind of insulation to keep them cool. Or maybe even curved steel hoses fabricated to fit exact. Why are these hoses made of rubber? Is it where the body of the C4 connects to the engine for engine stumble purposes? Best bet would be insulated hoses. I think the heat destroys to rubber prematurley. :seeya :hurray:
 WHOA! Good timing bud! I recently noticed a serious decrease in MPG and did notice a fuel smell under my hood. I'm going to check that one out when I get home!
I'm surprised someone didn't mention this before but, IF you ever run into a situation where you have a fire (smoke) under the hood DO NOT open the hood until you have a good fire extinguisher in your hand and ready to unload... rubber fuel lines - another good reason to always carry an extinguisher in your vette...
