Stone in the windshield, again !

Stone in the windshield, again !
Is it just me, or are C4's by design more susceptible to stones getting thrown into the windshield? Three weeks ago, coming back from Phoenix, I got a "loud" stone chip, but I was able to get it repaired. The next week, same thing, only this time, the chip turned into a 12" long crack right before my eyes! :mad So I get a replacement windshield. Glass guy did a real nice job, but today, on the way home, I get another big stone chip right in the middle. Three weeks .... three chips/cracks ! What's going on ?? :banghead:

Why can't I be lucky enough to have a stone crack my windshield!!!??!!!
The adhesive between the safety glass is distorted (I have gotten used to it). I have had a couple people recommend that I crack it myself with a spark plug or something to have my insurance company replace it. I just can't do something to harm my Vette!!

Geeze, your post reminded me of my flat tires. I got 3 within about a months time. The last flat was on my brand new rear tire! I only had it on a week! Talk about a run of bad luck!
Hang in there, remember . . . three strikes and you're out! You luck will now start changing. If by chance it doesn't . . . stay way okay!

You should call your insurance agent about this. I had the same problem and it turns out it WAS covered by insurance. Anything that causes you to have impaired vision that requires the windshield be replaced to fix is covered! You won't believe how much nicer it is looking though a new piece of glass.
