Please let me start off by saying hello. This is my first post here. I normally frequent z06vette.com, but I have a question for your C4 owners. Any and All help is greatly appreciated. Anyway I have a question about the following product at Mid-America. Does anybody have any experience with this top, and what do you think. Thanks.
"A Rain Coat for your 1984-9 6 Corvette don't let the threat of rain ruin your open-top cruise! Be prepared with the RAIN COAT'S double wall weather protection. Durably constructed of black canvas, this unit is easy to handle so it installs in seconds using tight grip Velcro on the windshield header and rear targa sections of your cockpit. Snug fit requires no alterations and folds compactly into a mesh storage pouch when
not in use. Holds securely at legal highway speeds. Fully illustrated instructions provided. Black only.
I have one and luv it. Have not used my glass top since purchasing this. Top is on or off in a matter of two minutes. Does not leak. As far as appearance....the only time it is on is when it rains. I dont think it looks bad when installed. Has the same lines as the Viper. I give it a  . Try it ....You'll like it....... :flag
welcome to the forum  i haven't tried or saw the one for the c4, but i have for the c3 and didn't like it at all. not sure if their the same, but the c3 one used velcro to hold it on the front, and i think the back also. and there was no way that i was going to even think about sticking velcro tape across the chrome trim on top of my 81 :nonod:
The ones for the C4 have a "J" hook that goes around the mirror and 2 brackets in the front that the raincoat attaches to. The back is velcroed. If you want one for cheap let me know, I have one but it's missing the 2 front brackets, maybe you could still get them from the manf. or make some. I've just been using it as a dustcover.
