I doubt you'd find one cost effective on a car that old... Usually the only time to buy an extended warranty at a good price and decent coverage is when you're still under the original bumper to bumper warranty or possibly when you're under 50K miles...
When I bought my first Vette (96 LT1) it was 2.5 yrs old and I was able to get a 7/100K extended warranty for $1300... I traded it recently on a 96 LT4 that was 8 years old, the only warranty available was a 12/12K warranty for $2600... Needless to say, I passed this time...
Well, when I got my car, I got it from a friend at a local dealership (17 months ago). He threw in a 3 year bumper to bumper DAIMLER CHRYSLER warranty for nothing - he says it was about $1200. I'm deathly afraid to use it though - I don't know how well my car would go, with a HEMI in it
