Question on Opti Spark

Can't spell it either. But , is there a was by just looking , if the opti has been changed. I know it's around the water pump and that's the extent of what I know. 1993 Vette

It's under the waterpump (Not below, under) It's very difficult to see without tearing down everything in the way. I guess the best look would be from underneath the car, but the harmonic balancer/crank pulley block it from the bottom.

Unless some one converted it to a vented style (which you could see the mod) I don't think there is a way to tell if it was changed.

Are you buying the car? Or have you bought it already. If the car has over 60 to 70k on it. It will probably need to be done. Service records help.

In a dry climate they can last till 100k or better. In the average climate or a wet climate they go at 65 to 85k. Ask the seller.
Have the car inspected by a Corvette shop or the local Chevy dealer.
