Well, they came in and now they are on the red LT4 ragtop. One hell of a tread pattern. Haven't driven it yet, my dad took the car in for me since he was off today. Only problem is that the tire shop put a nice 3" curb rash on one of the rims putting the tire on. :cry :smash:
and ask them what they are going to do for you now that you have to deal with this problem, its going to consume your time running around to wheel repair shops and being without a driveable car :mad :mad
I hate to go back on this guy. He got Goodyear to buy 2 of the tires from me. He saved me over $650. I'm gonna work on the rim a little and see how well it cleans up before I chew him a new one.
They are awesome tires. I have just over 6000 miles on my set. Wait until you drive in rain, they perform so well on wet roads you'll be truly impressed. Plus they are so much more quiet. Did you have them use the stick-on weights instead of the rim clips? They had trouble getting them balanced right and switched to the stick-ons and it made a world of difference. I would pick up a low-end vibration at highway speeds (75 plus). Now they are so smooth.
Something else I've noticed with them is just when you think they may break contact in a tight maneuver or s-turns, they suddenly grab again snap back to action. I noted that a couple times now, thought the turn was too aggressive and when it felt like they would let loose instead the take a bigger bite of the road.
I got these on my car, wish I would have gone with 40 series instead of 35,but space was limited.as far as the curb scrub goes, get them to pay for the wheel. When I first went to get my tires mounted, the guy dropped the pry bar on the wheel, they now have one for display. No drama,no grief. You screw it up,you replace it.These tires do have a bitchen tread pattern though.
Ahh....didn't you just sell these tires? I thought I read a post that said you didn't care for them and you wanted to sell them. I remember being surprised, because that is the first time I have ever heard someone say anything bad about those tires. I love them.
What do you mean the guy bought two of the tires from you?It sounds like he already made it right.
I have been complaining to Goodyear for a few years on the tires that were on there, F1 GSs. The car has had 11 of those tires on her over the last few years and the vibrations never went away....car was high speed balanced, alligned, etc.
Well, this place got Goodyear to buy 2 of the tires if I went back with GY tires. Easy decision, but I did not expect them to beat my rims to hell. :(

That's excatly why they should pay for getting your rim fixed or repaired.
The damage is really independant from the tire problems you have had. It donsen't matter how well they worked with you to get the past tire problems worked out, its their work that messed up the rim, their responsibility. IMHO.
