convertable x brace

Hase anyone put a factory convertible x brace on there coupe? How hard was it, how much did it help with flex, how does it clear aftermarket exhaust like headers and Borla cat back, would you do it again? thanks Jim

I am not sure if it will clear headers or not. My car feels very solid ( 3 others said the same thing) so I may or may not install it.

The R-D piece is much stronger then the factory brace.

I have heard the convertible brace is there to eliminate some resonance in the floor area.

To someone with a little background in structures it's easy to see that the stock x-brace adds essentially nothing to the stiffness of the chassis.

It would have to be deeper to stiffen the chassis.
