The tone got me yesterday.....I was driving home from work, and just off the freeway and accelerating from a light, it hit me how incredible my car sounds. Down low, the car throbs as I down shift approaching a light, and people around can feel the tight vibrations as the frequencies drop-it has a great tone, beefy and powerful- then the sound while pulling away like a dialed in mega bucks Italian precision race car through the gears - music, sweet music........God, I love my car.....

Isn't that just an incredibly good feeling? We certainly all know what you mean. I can't wait till friday when I pull the cover off and drive her to work, although it's been nice driving my truck this week. It has been getting ignored with all this good weather and with the summer fast approaching I'm sure it will be sitting in the driveway alot more than it ever has.
The Magnaflows are going on as soon as I get a nice day and my son is available to help me (I promised him the first test drive and dinner). Then we can talk about "tone".
My 95 C4 has Hooker headers and 3" B&B exhaust - everything stainless -
Even if it was louder, it couldn't have a better tone IMHO. Just sounds *right*
SAME HERE!!!! I love my header / cat free / Flowmaster!!!!!
But of course, in Michigan it will be another month before the car comes out.... Even if it warms up, I like to wait a week or so for all the salt and silt to wash away.

No doubt! The other night I was driving home. With it dark out I didnt noticed that I had my car in D not OD. I was just cruising down the freeway at about 75mph (rare luxery in California) just listening to the exhuast and thinking it sounded incredibly intoxicating with top off. Then about 10 miles later I realized that it was in 3rd. Put it in OD and it still sounded good. :yesnod:
