Well I bought my vette in December, and the weather has been really nice all winter here in Phoenix...until this week. It was 93 yesterday, and I got my first real experience with heat soak in the vette! Wow...
Light turns green, I let out the clutch and start to roll off....sloooooow....then Wham! The engine finally draws in the cooler air. It seemed like everything was a little off yesterday in the heat - even the tranny felt different, but that could've just been me. Who knows...
I kept an eye on my temps, and my oil was running around the low 220s with the A/C on, and the coolant was below 210 at all times.

Re: Doggone HEAT! (Perfusion)
Hmmm, that doesn't sound right...
All my LTx cars have had noticeable off idle sluggishness when I have the A/C compressor on but other than starting a hot motor that has been sitting, I never noticed any severe sluggishness...
Now I have noticed that when I am taking off from a stop and the A/C compressor disengages, I feel a little, "boost" type of feeling in the lower RPMs, is this what you're talking about???
Actually I just included the A/C info because they trip the fans on automatically, right? "Heat-soak" is something I was used to with my last car, but it had an openair filter that drew in really hot air while idleing. I hadn't noticed it yet in the vette, but the temps haven't been near as hot as it's been this week.
