87 Headlight Knob Replacement

87 Headlight **** Replacement
This may seem trivial to most, but I was wondering what is involved in changing the headlight **** in my 87. It feel apart and I am aware that Chevy no longer makes it, but Keens Parts has it available. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Is it just the **** that needs to be replaced. If that's it you need to take a
small bladed screwdriver and depress a small tab in the **** and then pull
out at the same time.

Thank you. What happened when I bought the C4 the plastic piece with the light symbol just disintegrated as I pulled it out. Now all that is left is the metal rod minus the headlight oval piece.

I used a volume **** from an electric guitar , it's black gnurled metal with a set screw in the side to hold it on . Works and looks great . I went through 3 stock ones before changing to this one .
