1. I just purchased a 1993 C4. What is that velcro patch with a loop for? It was in the middle console.
2. Also in the mid-console are two lug nut sockets. They look the same size but have different teeth set-ups inside. Why do I have two? I know one is to the wheels. I don't have locking lug nuts-It's a stock C4
3. My mid-console lid does not open/close right. The foam is coming unglued(passenger side of lid). Should I order new one at $200.00 or go to auto upholstery shop?
As far as I know locking lug nuts where standard. I had them on my 85. I took them off as they where a pain and I change tires every weekend during the summer AutoX season.

Congrats on the 1993!! And, welcome to the Forum.
1. The velcro patch with the loop was used to hold the tool that opens the cover on the rims so that the lug nuts are exposed. If I'm correct, the 93 sawblade rims don't have center caps that cover the lugs. The stock rims on my '89 had a cover and the tool fit inside perfectly.
2. hmmmmm?? Not sure on this one if you don't have lock nuts.
3. I think this is a very common problem. Its difficult to get adhesives to stick on the inside because the foam just pulls apart. However, I used Permatex 82 "Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive". You can find it at AutoZone. Product comes in an Orange Tube and the tube lists item #81850. This stuff holds pretty good....and was less than $5.00. Worth a shot.
I hope this helps. I'm sure there are plenty of guys out there with 93's that can chime in on the lug nut questions.

Believe me, you'll thank us!!! (and we'll thank you!)
I don't know about the velcro thingy....I don't have one.
Your car should have come (I think) with one keyed lug nut on each wheel. I also have two lugs sockets; but mine are both the same. :skep:
I also had a bad console lid when I picked up my car. I just used some good quality hobby glue on the foam (which was still good) and a stapler to hold the (vinyl?) to the plastic. Its been two years now and I open it at least twice a day.
Thanks so much. The Lid is about $200.00 right? An auto upholstery shop would put in new foam(better and even more- cushiony), new cover-I assume you could choose black leather and charge me what? $50.00-100.00? It's cheaper to go that route.....
Pros/cons?
Then again, they may scratch the clear coat while working on it!
1. The velcro will hold the lug key
2.The car may originally had wheellocks but replaced with regular(that was the case on my car)
3.look in some of the catalogs, I believe there are replacements for the console lid, you can usually find them at swap meets also.
Congrats on the 93' - good year I might say
I tried fixing mine, looked ok for a while but it still looked like it was repaired and some parts just didn't stick well. So I just said what the heck its only $150. and picked up a new one. It took a lot of patience and time to slowly peel the codes label off, but it came off with sticky intact, so I was able to have a brand new console door with the original labels.
I decided to try an autp upholstery shop to re-foam and re-cover the console door. Maybe cheaper thean buying a new door. Ecklers and Mid-America door lids sell for $200.00 more/less.
My console lid material was separating on one side so I removed it, applied a thin layer of black RTV and taped a board along the side to get a straight line. It worked like a charm.
BTW, that black RTV works very well to reattach the carpte to the lower door panel. There I also had to remove the inner door panel and use a piece of board with weights overnight till the RTV set up.
