I know there are fans of the ALMS out there (myself included). I actually go close to a C5R this January at the NAIAS, and that was real cool. My question, though, is for those of you that either attend the races or watch them on TV. Have you noticed that the Corvettes and other sports cars (like Panoz) have a great exhaust rumble as they go by? I love that sound! What I can't stand is that little farty sound that the Porsches make. What's up with that? Why do they sound like that?

Look under the hood  Big V8 sounds better then a little 6 or 4 banger
I love the V-8's at the track. You can always tell when the vettes roll by, although the saleen has a somewhat similar v8 roar. There was a v8 lister LMP car at sebring that sounded alot like the vettes. It caught me off guard a couple of times while trying to time shots of the vette. I can't wait till the next race I get to attend. Hopefully it will be the Mid-Ohio race otherwise it won't be till Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta.
